Honoring Amber's Legacy This Giving Tuesday

This Giving Tuesday, we’re inviting our supporters to help us reach a milestone that’s been 10 years in the making.
In memory of Amber Reineck, we’re aiming to hit $1 million in total donations given back to our recovery community — and we’re almost there.
Amber Reineck House was founded by Courtney to honor her sister’s life and to bring hope to women in recovery. Since day one, it has been her dream to reach this incredible milestone, showing the power of love, legacy, and community support.
Thanks to our 100% volunteer-run board, every single dollar raised has gone directly into programs that support individuals in recovery — housing, services, and life-saving resources.

This Giving Tuesday, we invite you to:

🌟 Start a personalized fundraiser in honor of someone in recovery
🕊️ Give in memory of a loved one who lost their battle
💬 Share our mission and help spread the word

With your help, we can hit $1 million in donations — a dream come true for Amber’s legacy on the 10-year anniversary of her passing.

Amber Reineck House Returns to Independent Operations

We want to share an important update about our organization’s structure. Over the past year, Amber Reineck House explored a partnership with Second Chance to form a new nonprofit, Pathways to Hope Livingston, with the goal of expanding our impact and improving operational efficiencies. While this collaboration was exciting and full of promise, after careful evaluation, we have mutually decided to dissolve Pathways to Hope and return to operating independently as Amber Reineck House.

This decision comes amid the broader challenges many nonprofits are currently facing, particularly due to significant federal grant reductions and shifting funding priorities. We have witnessed several organizations we know and admire struggle with similar issues—experiencing staff reductions, program cuts, and a diminished ability to serve clients at their previous capacity. After thoughtful reflection, we believe that returning to our roots as Amber Reineck House is in the best interest of our mission and the individuals we serve.

Moving forward, we remain focused, agile, and fully committed to providing critical recovery resources to women in our community. Your belief in our mission continues to be the reason individuals in Livingston County find healing, stability, and renewed hope.

We are deeply grateful for your continued support of Amber Reineck House. Your generosity has been instrumental in helping us provide recovery housing, support long-term recovery efforts, and reduce the stigma surrounding substance use disorder.
If you have any questions or would like to learn more about our future plans, we welcome the opportunity to connect with you. Thank you for standing with us and for being an essential part of this journey

With gratitude,

Courtney Atsalakis, Founder
